Rachel grew up in London, England. She studied ballet, tap dancing, Jazz and contemporary dance. She worked as a solo artist throughout Europe as part of several dance troupes and worked in theatre as a dancer and actress. Rachel starred in several shows, TV programs and films including short films where she received recognition for her performances. At Thanyapura Health & Sports, she teaches yoga therapy, yoga for weight loss, dance fitness, dance therapy, lifestyle coaching and meditation. She brings over 20 years of dance performance and over five years of teaching yoga and meditation internationally.
Rachel started practising yoga at age six. She studied under different Indian swamis. She eventually learned to embrace yoga as a complete science. Following both the lifestyle and philosophies, she became a teacher in 2010 in the Sivananda lineage. Everyone’s body is different. Their practice on the mat needed variations, which led Rachel to develop a unique teaching style. Rachel learned that in yoga, one size did not fit all. Her passion is to help those who thought they would not be able to embrace yoga due to their body type or fitness level.
